Let’s go.

DUBROVNIK

Godinama nas spašava i dovodi masu stranih posjetitelja.

Umjesto hotela unajmite apartman, kasnije odete do Korčule, i gdje ćeš bolje?

Kako sam ja bila u Dubroviku kad nije bilo mobitela s ovakvim kamerama, nemam puno autorskih fotografija koje izgledaju wow, no zato postoji internet, i ja vam prilažem najljepšu fotografiju Dubrovnika ikad.

Volim ove fotografije. A volim i Dubrovnik.

Kako to nije romantično?

THREE MOST ROMANTIC PLACES IN CROATIA

As a person who traveled all over Croatia, I believe I found some of the most romantic places to visit, and here are my three favorites.

Let’s go.

DUBROVNIK:

Dear God, everybody knows how Dubrovnik looks like and that we are known for it from Sydney to Beijing.

What all those foreign people actually don’t know is that the capital of Croatia is not Dubrovnik (even though we often hear otherwise). Even Siria would have more tourists than us, if there wasn’t for that little beautiful town. Dubrovnik has captured the hearts of many foreign visitors for decades (and the money from tourism has been very helpful with restoring post-war Croatia).

So why don’t you visit it for yourself?

It may be expensive during tourist season peak, but if you choose to visit this city now, you will find that the prices are more resonable, I’m sure you will pay a couple or hundred kuna less than during the peak season in July which makes it a perfect weekend escape. Instead of a hotel you can rent some cheap apartment, and later you can visit the island of Korčula (trust me on this one).

When I was in Dubrovnik nobody had smartphones with awesome cameras, so many of my photos are not like “wow”, but thank God for the internet, so I’m showing you what I think are the most beautiful pictures of Dubrovnik ever made.

I love these photos. A I love Dubrovnik.

BOL –  ISLAND OF BRAČ

Anyone who has ever worked as a blogger or reviewer knows that this job is not easy. So, there you have me, just laying on my couch for half a day and looking at some old childhood photos, thinking about all the places I could go for a weekend getaway.

Croatia is a beautiful country with beautiful cities (quite a few for such a small country), to be exact it has 128 cities and 428 districts (I didn’t google it, I just had an awesome geography teacher). Horki is the best.

Yes, a lot of cities. It took me a long time to choose no°2 on my list, couldn’t decide between Split, Gradac and Daruvar (yes, true stroy). In the end, the choice I made was this beautiful town Bol on in island of Brač.

Yes, Bol, except that it looks like a better version of females thongs, is also known for its romantic side, a lot of couples chose this city as their destination this year. It’s cheaper than Dubrovnik and now even more beautiful with the sound of the waves, pine trees and falling leaves. We love autumn. Also, a big plus is the temperature, it’s always at least 5°C warmer than inlands.

ZAGREB

Everybody loves Zagreb. Zagreb may not offer sea and beautiful beaches like the others, but it offers some kind of happiness that fills the air when you walk through the Zrinjevac park and are surrounded by thousands of  little lamps and decorations while the aroma of mulled wine is spreading through the capital. It’s romantic, isn’t it?

The prices are inexpensive , and if you’ve never been in Zagreb in this pre-Christmas time, you don’t know what you are missing. Ice parks, nice restaurants (warm recommendations for ”Nokturno” and ”Karaka”) and a lot of happiness and love in the air. Even hotels aren’t that expensive.

Even better if you have a car because everything is so close, no matter where you live.

Zagreb is romantic even for us who live here.
